Description
This was my original work that I was going to submit for art as mentioned in my hydra works, this is half of it. I took the idea of the world on a turtles back, but I decided a snail was more round. Though the shell is empty and lifeless.
We had to submit 4 watercolour works of something of our choice (and it had to be surreal) so I decided to do the cycle of life. This is the beginning and end, the bottom is the beginning of new life from the ashes and the top was the apocalypse. I spent too long pondering on this to get the other half done (or even get this one completed) originaly I was to have broken buildings and barren terrain on the apocalypse quarter and with far more detail but meh. The other half had development and sophistication with technology.
blah blah blah it was going to be 4 works but I had to make sure they blended properly so I painted it as two big pieces and was to cut them both in half to make 4 before stitching them together again. The teacher was all "wait what?" but enjoyed the idea, sorry to dissapoint since I never got around to doing it xD
watercolour on watercolour paper (the way its meant to be) um...size? err big?
Pretty damn big if you ask me.
I was too lazy to edit out background so you can see the delicious poo-brown carpet we have and such.

Very interesting. I think even the fact that it's half makes this interesting for a title
