This little critter here is for *millibayley has fixed up - go check it out it's pretty radical.

I don't have a name for this thing but it's an omnivore, a decomposer in the worl'ds cycle of energy - devouring and breaking down waste products of other flora and fauna (from corpses/debris to poop, you name it!).
Nothing is wasted as the large stomach (in two parts) will continuously break down whatever is ingested until there is nothing left.

Gas is expelled through the creatures porous skin - Providing high levels of CO2 and Methane for plant life to thrive off - these emissions also double up as a protective mechanism that wards away predators with sensitive noses and would suffocate and smother parasites that cling onto it's body.

The second and largest part of the stomach is very elastic and has a built in fault line (much like a skink's tail) that is able to detach if need be if something awful was ingested (such as internal parasites) or something that won't break down despite the high acidity of the bile.
There is a flap of muscle thats sort of visible in the drawing of the gastric system that closes over to seal the digestive track before abandoning it's stomach deposits.
Abandoning of the 2nd stomach may be due to overwhelming size from well feeding of an imbalance of acids that are otherwise unable to escape the body (usually it is secreted through the skin and er...nipples) but in an unusually dry climate these pores shrivel up and create a high pressure if gases and acid aren't able to be dispensed off.
Another reason is if one decides to produce it's offspring (through A sexual manners or through areal spawning through the skin) the separate stomach acts well as an incubator as well as a food source for developing offspring - also the acid protects the embryos from predators.

In times of extreme malnutrition and the stomach is completely deflated movement is easier (though still difficult with under developed back legs) to find a place with more food supplies or spawn mates.

Usually using it's small fingers to pry insects or nutrients from mud or other terrain it is on, the spacecowthing also has a multi-pronged tongue that can be used for seeking out things under the surface with it's sensitivity.

um what else can I say. it has backwards facing ears as most predators would come from behind as well as to protect them from any flung dirt if the spacecowthing has decided to burrow for protection or some unseen snack.

Usually there is an abundance of plant life where it resides from the toxic emissions, study plants that do not photosynthesize and rely upon absorbing chemicals that are excreted through the spacecowthings skin that may contain trace amounts of nutrition that may have not been processed.

The spacecowthing has a beak made of twisted teeth on it's upper-jaw for pecking open things whatever they be, and mandibles underneath for maneuvering a food item down the throat.

Thats about all I can think of now? It doesn't move much and if it does it'd be overtaken by a snail lol
